Had a great afternoon with Harlequin Brass in Sheffield, performing at St Marks with the Sterndale Singers. It's the first time I've worked with these groups, although I have played with a few of the brass before.
Great players and great people commited to high quality brass ensemble playing, not to mention some stunning new arragements for brass and choir by Robert Webb, Musical Director of the Sterndale Singers.
Looking forward to working with Harlequin in 2012 if the opportunity arises
I am a trombonist and trombone teacher living in Sheffield, UK. I play with orchestras, chamber ensembles and dance bands.

Exciting New Wind Band At Birley Community College
It looks as though the new children's wind band to be held at Birley Community College Sheffield is to get underway early in 2012.
A mix of brass and woodwind will be brought together in one group of children aged 8 - 12 to inspire the large numbers of children learning brass instruments and clarinets as part of the Wider Opportunities Scheme.
A fantastic new school being built alongside the existing Birley Community College, with excellent facilities such as a recording studio, and it is hoped that the new project will develop interest and activities in all kinds of music in Birley and surrounding areas.

Junction 33 Dance Band With Deborah Norman
Junction 33 Dance Band had a great evening tonight, with excellent guest singer Deborah Norman (soprano).
Playing their annual Christmas dance to a packed house, the band performed three sets and were delighted to see so many people dancing.
Trombones on this occaision were Richard Walker, Sarah West and Alan Carr and this was the first time Richard and Alan have worked together although not the last as they are both performing next Saturday with Harlequin Brass in Sheffield.
Dance band members and audience all had a great time and the Junction 33 Dance Band are already looking forward to their next (private) gig next Friday.
